STEP 19 - BATTLING BUGS

broken image

If you’re camping in the great outdoors or traveling someplace there’s bound to be bugs, don’t let those six-and-eight-legged creatures ruin your trip. Just use your oils!

Did you know one of the main functions Essential Oils perform for the plants they come from is protection, especially from predators like bugs? The Arborvitae tree, for example, is often called the “Tree of Life” because it can grow up to 200 feet tall and lives 800 years or more! This is mainly due to the protective properties of ARBORVITAE oil, which preserves wood and naturally repels insects.

Several oils can help fend off these unwanted pests and let you enjoy your campfire or walk through the garden in peace:

• Arborvitae

• Cedarwood

• Cinnamon

• Clove

• Geranium

• Lemongrass

• Peppermint

• Rosemary

• Thyme

The OUTDOOR BLEND is full of oils that naturally repel insects. Instead of harsh insect repellents that can irritate skin and are toxic to the environment, this blend is gentle and won’t increase your carbon footprint. It contains Ylang Ylang, Tamanu, Nootka, Cedarwood, Catnip, Lemon Eucalyptus, Litsea, Vanilla Bean, and Arborvitae, and it smells much better than most bug sprays!

It comes packaged two different ways: as a 15 ml oil in a regular bottle and as a 30 ml plastic spray bottle for easy application.

Both versions contain Fractionated Coconut Oil, so you can apply to clothing or skin.

OUTDOOR BLEND PRACTICAL USES

• Apply to the legs, arms, and neck before going outdoors.

• Take on camping trips or to outdoor events.

• Spray around your door, window seals, and tent.
