STEP 15 - JET LAG AND ENERGY

broken image

Traveling is tiring! Whether you’ve worn yourself out driving for ten hours or are trying to adjust to a time zone half way across the world, traveling can make you feel groggy and out of sorts.

Many Essential Oils have revitalizing and energizing properties, including the following:

• Clove

• Cypress

• Invigorating Blend

• Joyful Blend

• Lemon

• Lime

• Grapefruit

• Peppermint

• Siberian Fir

• Tangerine

• Wild Orange

PRACTICAL USES

• Create a personal fragrance with any of the above Essential Oils and Fractionated Coconut Oil (recipe ideas below). Apply whenever you feel low in energy.

• Diffuse your favorite energizing single oil or combination in the car or your hotel room in the early morning to help wake you up.

• Add to diffuser jewelry when getting ready in the morning.

PERSONAL FRAGRANCE ROLLER RECIPE

Place Essential Oils (see blends below) in a 10 ml roller bottle. Top with Fractionated Coconut Oil. Gently mix and apply.

ENERGY UP BLEND

• 2 drops Peppermint Essential Oil

• 4 drops Tangerine Essential Oil

• 4 drops Wild Orange Essential Oil

WILD & WOODSY BLEND

• 3 drops Siberian Fir Essential Oil

• 3 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil

• 4 drops Citrus Essential Oil of your choice

TRAVEL TIP: Never underestimate the power of Peppermint and Wild Orange. This combo is super simple but incredibly effective at energizing and uplifting mood. Place one drop of each in the palm of your hand, cup your hands, and hold them to your face. Being careful not to get any oil in your eyes, inhale deeply. The revitalizing aroma will help you conquer your jet lag in no time!

CAUTION: Many Citrus Oils (and blends containing Citrus Oils) are phototoxic. Avoid sunlight or UV rays for 12 hours after applying topically. Be especially careful about using Citrus Oils topically if your travels take you to a warm and sunny location.
